President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that he would continue to hike tariffs on the country if Ottawa imposed its own tariffs in response to the ones that took effect on Tuesday.
“Please explain to Governor Trudeau, of Canada, that when he puts on a Retaliatory Tariff on the U.S., our Reciprocal Tariff will immediately increase by a like amount!” Trump warned.
